About the Instructors:
Mahi is a newly practicing herbalist based in Harrisonburg. He has been foraging and working with herbs for the last ten years and educating people on their proper identification and use for the last five. Connecting people and plants is his greatest joy.
Corey is an herbalist who delights in talking about plants, making plant medicine and spending time in nature. She seeks ways to increase herbal medicine accessibility in her community, and, for Corey, coming together in community and friendship to share the essence of the botanical world, in its infinite expression, is her true joy.
Class Cancellations and Absence
Refunds minus a $15 processing fee can be issued until 14 days before the start of the first session. Our class pricing largely depends on a certain number of participants, therefore after the 14 day window, we cannot offer refunds. We also cannot offer refunds for missed classes within the series of classes.
Class policies
If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us at least 14 days prior to the date of the first class. You may cancel by email (hello@redrootcompany.com). We will refund your fee minus a $15 processing fee. If you cancel with less than 14 day’s notice, we cannot refund, out of respect to our teachers and fellow participants enrolled in the class.
There may be an occasion where we need to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment. If this happens and we do not offer a reschedule date, you will be refunded your full enrollment fee. If we offer a reschedule date and you are unable to attend, we will offer you a full refund.
Minimum Enrollment, Missed Classes & Weather
Classes may be canceled if they do not meet a minimum enrollment. Participants will be notified before the first session and they will receive a full refund. Refunds cannot be given for missed classes. The Harrisonburg City school closings for inclement weather will be our guide to cancelling classes. If the schools are closed, our classes will be closed as well. Please check our website or social media for the most up-to-date information.
