About the Instructors:
Corey MacDonald and Kathy Buchet will together teach Chamomile & Yarrow: Indispensable Herbs to have in your Kitchen Apothecary.
Kathy and Corey started their journey together in 2014, where they both attended Sacred Plant Traditions three year clinical herbalism program in Western Energetics. Corey delights in talking about plants, making plant medicine, meeting with clients in her clinical practice and sharing herbal goods through Red Root & Co. Kathy has been a chef for over thirty years and loves to bring the practice of herbalism into the kitchen.
Corey says, “Learning herbalism is a lifelong adventure. I am always seeking and am absolutely enchanted with the plant world.” Corey continually seeks ways to increase herbal medicine accessibility in her community, and, for Corey, coming together in community and friendship to share the essence of the botanical world, in its infinite expression, is her true joy.
Kathy explains her journey with plants, as “it all comes back to the search within and connection to all that abides.” She continues, “This has led me to go deeper which brought me to Sacred Plant Traditions and the great fortune of connecting with Corey.” Kathy continues her herbal education taking various courses online and in person, and she is currently enrolled in Holistic Canine Herbalism. As Kathy explains so eloquently, “like our teachers would say, the best teachers are the actual Plants; putting this into practice and reminding myself every day is part of the work I have come here to do and share.”
